There are so many ways to earn money on Swagbucks.  It’s one of the easiest ways to earn money at home. If you haven’t had the chance to read my post on The Basics of earning on Swagbucks, head on over to check it out.  In this post I’m going to go over other popular ways to earn beyond the basics.

Here are some additional ways to earn money on Swagbucks

1. Redeem Swag Codes

Swag codes are free SB provided daily by Swagbucks.  

• Each code ranges from 2-3 SB
• Each code is case-sensitive and expire after a certain time
• You can find the codes on the Swagbucks Facebook page or on the Swagbucks Blog.
• You can redeem a code in several places.
  • Enter it directly into the swagbutton.
  • In the swag code box on the swagbucks homepage.
  • In the Swagbucks app.

Tip:  If you have the swagbutton added to your browser, you’ll receive updates when a new swag code is available.

2. Add the Swagbutton

What is the Swagbutton?

• Browser add-on (ex. Chrome Extension)
• Alerts you when are on a website that offers sales, coupons, cash back offers.
• Allows you to earn cash back while shopping through thousands of participating retailers.
• Gives you the opportunity to shop, watch videos and redeem swag codes.  
• Provides alerts when a swag code is available for you to redeem.  
• Provides alerts when valid coupon codes are available and automatically apply the best coupon codes at checkout.

Tip:  Click on the bell icon to see if a swag code is available.

3. Print Coupons

Did you know that you could save money on groceries and earn SB at the same time?

Swagbucks gives you the opportunity to print out coupons on hundreds of items.

For every coupon you print out, you receive 1 SB.  You can earn up to 50 SB/day. Plus, you will earn 25 SB for every coupon you redeem.

Once you print out each coupon, it takes about 48 hours for the points to appear on your account.

What could be better than saving money on your groceries, plus earning money in the process?

4. In-store purchases

There are two ways to earn money back on purchases you make in-store.

In-Store Cash Back allows you to earn rewards while shopping in-person at participating local retail stores.

• Add one or more credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express) to your Swagbucks profile.
• Link an available In-Store Cash Back offer to your card.
• Shop at the store using your linked credit card.
• Earn cash back. (takes approximately 10 days)

Offers must be linked to your card before you make a purchase.  Offers must be valid and not expired.

In-Store Deals

With in-store deals, you get rewarded for purchasing items from your Offer List.  Offers can range from 50 to over 2000 swagbucks.

• Select In-Store Deals on the Swagbucks Shopping Page.
• Browse your Offer List and select Add Offer.
• Make your purchase in store.
• Upload your receipt to receive your swagbucks. (credits instantly)

5. Referrals

Referring friends and family is an easy way to earn SB passively.

Did you know that you can earn 10% of the SB they earn for life?

• Refer a friend
• They sign up using your referral code
• You both earn a 300 SB bonus
• Continue to earn 10% of their earnings (example: They earn 200 SB; you earn 20 SB)

Click on Invite your friends to start your referral.

You have the option to send your referral via email or share your referral link via social media.

Receive an extra 100 SB when someone you refer adds the swagbutton.

6. Swagbucks Live

Do you like trivia games?   How about earning money for playing trivia games?

Swagbucks Live is a fun and easy way to earn SB.

You earn cash just for playing and a grand prize if you answer all the questions correctly. If multiple players answer all 10 questions correctly, you split the prize with the other winners

If you answer a question incorrectly, you’re eliminated from winning the grand prize.  However, you still can continue to play the game and earn points/SB for each correct answer.

The first time you’re eliminated you have the option to rejoin by either redeeming your SB or using a free rejoin (earn rejoins by referring friends).

What is Swago?

It’s a fun way to earn SB by completing activities on the Swago Board.  It’s like playing a game of Bingo.

Swago is available just about every other week.

• Each square on your Swago board has an associated activity.
• Complete that activity to mark off the square.
• Each pattern of squares completed will give you a different bonus.
• The patterns and bonus are located to the right of the Swago Board.
• Once you complete a pattern, the submit button will turn red.
• You can only submit one pattern.

8. Answer Mobile App

What is Swagbucks?

Swagbucks is one of the most popular rewards programs available that gives you free gift cards and cash for the everyday things you already do online. You earn points (or swagbucks) when you shop at your favorite retailers (in store or online), watch entertaining videos, search the web, answer surveys and find great deals. You can redeem points for gift cards to your favorite retailers like Amazon and Walmart or get cash back from Paypal. Swagbucks has already paid out over $373,975,193 in cash and free gift cards.

1. Shop Online

Shopping online is easy and convenient.  Just imagine earning cash back on items you were already planning to purchase.  Swagbucks offers cash back shopping at over 1500 retailers including Amazon, Walmart, Target, and Starbucks.  You can earn SB points for every dollar you spend plus get access to exclusive deals and coupons to your favorite retailers. 

Earning is easy

• Start your purchase at Swagbucks.com on the Shop page.
• Browse through the list of stores.
• Each store has the cash back amount you will earn.
• Click on the link to the store from the Swagbucks website to earn cashback on your purchase.

After you make your purchase, your SB will be credited around 32 days of purchase to allow for returns.

Tip: Book your travel through Swagbucks with sites like Priceline and Booking.com to take advantage of cashback up to 10%.

2. Answer Surveys

Surveys are one of the quickest and easiest ways to earn a greater amount of SB at a time.  Survey topics can range from food to movies to products. Some surveys might even give you the opportunity to try products at home.

• All of the available surveys are listed along with the time to complete and amount of SB offered for completion.
• Fill out your survey profile to matched to the right survey and earn 2 SB for every 10 questions you answer.

Tip: Answer the daily poll for a quick 1 SB you can earn everyday.

3. Watch Videos

Watching videos is one of the easiest ways to earn SB passively.  Since starting swagbucks in 2011, I have earned the most SB by watching videos.

There are several video playlists to choose from that play automatically.  You can earn between 1 to 2 SB per playlist.  

There are also nCrave and Sponsored videos on the Watch page that allow you to rack up the SB quickly.  You can let these videos play in the background while you do other things.

Tip: Start out with the Sponsored videos first if they are available.  They usually take less time to earn. 

4. Discover Offers

Have you ever wanted to try a service like Blue Apron or maybe DoorDash?  Swagbucks allows you to try these services all while earning SB. You earn SB points when you sign up for new services, check out free samples, and even purchase items in-store.

I recently saw an offer to try XM radio for 6 months.  I paid $15 for 6 months of service and received 5000 SB just for trying the offer.  That’s $50. There are many other offers available like this on the Discover page.

Get free gift cards when you check out exclusive deals and offers from well known brands.

5. Search the Web

You can also earn SB points just by doing a web search.  Each time you use the Swagbucks search box, powered by Yahoo search engine, you increase your chances of earning SB points.  The amount you earn will vary and search wins come at random times.

Tip: Set Swagbucks as your default search engine to increase your chances to earn more SB.

Collectors Bills

Occasionally you’ll earn collector’s bills during a search.  These will earn you larger amounts of SB. If you manage to collect all of them during the specified timeframe, you’ll earn a SB bonus.

6. Play Games

You can also earn SB by playing games.  You have two options to earn.

• Make in-game purchases through GSN. 
  • Requires you to spend money to earn SB.

• Play Swagbucks original free games.
  • No spending required.  SB awarded randomly as you continue playing.

7. Redeem Swag Codes

Daily swag codes, usually 2 – 3 SB /day.   May seem like a small amount, but add up if you’re trying to reach your daily goal.  If you have the swagbutton added to your browser, you’ll receive updates when a new swag code is available.  You can enter the code directly into the swagbutton, in the swag code box on the Swagbucks homepage, or in the Swagbucks app.

8. Use the Mobile App

Swagbucks has a mobile app that allows you to earn on the go. 

Available for apple and android.

Earn SB by:

• Shopping
• Watching videos
• Answering surveys
• Redeeming Swag Codes

A large majority of my daily earnings come from videos on the Swagbucks app.

If you have an extra device, it would be good to use it for this purpose.

Tip:  Choose the shorter video category to earn SB faster.

Once you’ve started using the methods above to earn SB consistently, try to meet your Daily Goal and complete your To-Do list.

Daily Goal

Everyday you have the opportunity to earn bonus SB by meeting a daily goal.  You can view your goal by clicking on the Daily Goal Meter.

How does the Daily Goal Meter work?

1. Goal 1 and Bonus 1— displays a blue bar to measure your progress.  This Goal drives your winning streaks and monthly bonus. You only have to meet this goal to get the monthly bonus.
2. Total Goal and Total bonus— displays a red bar for the total bonus you can earn for the day. 
3. The Daily Goal Meter is personalized based on your earning behavior.
4. Winning Streaks and Badges show how you are progressing throughout the month.

Monthly Bonus

Click “Show My winning Streaks” to see your progress on the monthly bonus.

If you meet your first daily goal for 7 consecutive days, you’ll earn 25 SB bonus points for the month.  Keep going the whole month and you’ll earn 300 SB plus the total of points you earned on the daily goal meter.

Bonuses are paid out the following month.  Make sure to redeem them.

To-Do List

Complete 6 out of 8 items to receive your First To-Do List Bonus. This bonus averages 2 SB per day. Complete all 8 items on your To-Do List to receive an even bigger bonus! That’s a possibility of two bonuses every day!
